New Works By Eva Michon

Portals is a photographic series documenting puddles of water collected after a rainstorm. The water reflects images of the sky but often gives the impression of showing passage to another world. Eva Michon is interested in pursuing this suggestion in a playful way, but believes that one of these portals will reveal itself to be an actual doorway into another dimension.

Michon is interested in the supernatural power of everyday objects and situations. The documentation of commonalities in a series creates an evocation of other-worldliness in the objects.

Eva Michon is a South African-born, Polish artist based in Toronto. She graduated film school in 2008 and is also the co-founder and editor of Bad Day magazine, a quarterly arts journal.
