Our Forgotten Ancestors
Cody Cochrane solo exhibition

107 Shaw is proud to present Our Forgotten Ancestors, a solo exhibition of new work
by Toronto based artist Cody Cochrane. Drawing inspiration from the aesthetic and traditions
of Native and First Nations culture, this first solo show in 2009 for Cody marks a year of
exploring new Mediums, as well as new motivations within the context of painting and illustration.

With the application of large and small-scale installation, sculpture and painting, this show
Strives to take things outside of the typical gallery format to create an environment that
Invites the viewer in, and elevates them from the role of a passive onlooker.
