Psych art has had many incarnations since it’s inception in the late 1960’s, and it shows no sign of slowing. With the growth in popularity of poster design and the ever growing rebirth of psych music, every decade seems to bring with it new fans of the movement, not to mention new interpretations.

Artists Jay Howell, Matt Furie, Matt Lock, Jesjit Gill, Dennis Chow and Michael Deforge help us explore that cycle, and reassess what it means to be ‘Psych’. Whether through the use of color, humor, or unconventional process, each artist represented here has their own unique and exciting interpretation of the genre.

We are especially excited to have the involvement of San Francisco goodtime guys Jay Howell and Matt Furie, in their first Toronto exhibition.
